GUATEMALAN WORRY DOLLS
4TH-GRADE
Overview: Students learned about miniature dolls called Worry dolls from Guatemala. The dolls are made by hand and have traditional Guatemalan clothing. The dolls are given to children to take away their worries.
Students learned about dolls making skills by using armature (clothes pin) as a structural support for the head and the clothing. Students used Model Magic clay to create a skin tone by mixing blue, yellow, red, and white in various ratios.
