ASSESSMENT INSTRUMENT
The rubric I did was for age group 7–8. The update that I added (blue) was writing in detail the learning objective and the link assessment outcomes. I think the content of this rubric would be more suitable for middle school and high school. In the future, I will come up with a rubric that would be easier to understand for elementary school students to use.
This rubric has the same format as the previous rubric. I still wanted to test out the level of comprehension. The difference is that the students used this rubric to assess themselves which is in the student box. I realized when I was introducing the rubric that the students found a bit challenge to understand. The second rubric, is a general rubric my host teacher uses for 3rd–6th grades. This rubric I used for a different 3rd grade class. I noticed as I was explaining this rubric, many of the students were able to understand the questions.
I used my host teacher rubric as a reference to create a rubric for 6th grade. I simplified the scoring and included I statements. For the behavior, students assessed themselves in participating in cleaning as well as overall attitude towards peers and teacher.
